Ammonites, with their spiral shape, are symbols of change and positive motion. The spiral draws in negative energy, filtering it through the chambers and releasing fresh, positive energy. Ammonites are believed to be is a stone of protection that brings about a circulation of energy that helps you relieve any trauma and help to achieve balance in your body, mind, and spirit.

I moulded and sculpted canvas into organic shapes on the floor and manipulated paint and water within the canvas landscape, allowing colours to soak, bloom and fade as they diffused into the fibres.  I sometimes incorporated found objects such as seeds, wildflowers, grasses and seaweed. I allowed paint to evaporate slowly into tidelines of pigment. I repeated this process over several weeks to create overlapping, translucent layers. It’s a slow meditative process. Forms are transitory, evolving and fragile.
