At high tide, the sea spills into crevices and pours into smooth basins, filling up temporary rock pools. Submerged in water, the stones gleams like treasure, each one unique, its own miniature world. The negative space is as important as the glowing pools of colour.  The beauty is transient. As the tide recedes, the pools empty, the stone dries, the colours and patterns fade.  I feel privileged to stand there, to see this treasure, to try and record this moment.

Framed in a contemporary, neon-green, acrylic frame, signed on reverse and ready to hang. The backing behind the painting, allows natural light through the neon frame, which makes it appear as if it’s lit from within.

Signed on reverse, framed and ready to hang.
